My Little Bargain Hunter

So I had to go to Target the other day. I wanted to take advantage of the sale on Gerber Finger Foods for Z. It's about time I let the little guy try some finger foods! lol Anyway, I told the boys that that's what I wanted to do and we were solely going to Target for Z's snacks and check out clearance and we were outta there! Of course we didn't get out of the house til noon! All morning to get out of the house! Anyway, I checked out the baby clearance first - of course. Nothing. :( So on to Gerber Finger Foods. They were 3/$5, a pretty decent deal since I saw at A & P, they were $2.19. I started rifling through my coupons because I thought I had Gerber coupons that I could use. I thought wrong. I have Gerber foods coupons but not for the Finger Foods. And yes, I did check online before I left the house. So the following conversation ensues as I put the Gerber Puffs and Wagon Wheels in the shopping cart:
T: We're getting them because they are on sale.
Me: Yes, that's what I said.
T: Where are the coupons?
Me: Oh, I don't have any.
T: Then why are we getting them???
LOL And I was embarrassed (and proud) because there was another mom with her baby coming down the aisle. My little bargain hunter!
